Default 00 z28 value

I found a 2000 camaro z28 where I live for sale. It has 53k miles very clean, guy said the t-tops had never been out, always kept under a cover. The car has new tires, new flomaster exhaust, 3.73 gears, and a superchip tune. Runs strong make no noises doesn't leak and fluid and very clean underneath. The guy is asking 12k for it, but I think it might be a little high. Was wondering what everyone thought about the pricing and if it's to high, what should I offer? Thx. Here are some pics I took with my phone.

I can help with some perspective on that. I just bought a 2001 Z-28 in March. Garage kept, very clean, maintenance records, no damage, T-tops, leather, navy blue metallic, 41,000 miles, automatic, fully stock nothing done to it from a dealer in Indiana for $11,500 (tax, title, out the door). I knew I was paying a premium cause it was a dealer but it was exactly what I wanted and so it was worth it to me. If it was a private party I would have expected to pay less. However I spent lots of time shopping around and it really was the best deal I could find to get what I wanted. If the car is what you are looking for than it's worth whatever you want to pay for it. On a personal note I think it looks beautiful and damn is that interior clean!

It's a very clean car well taken car of, but not exactly the color I want and I want leather interior. But I'm not sure I can find another car this clean, not sure if clean is more important then color.

I'm looking at a 1999 SS with 96k miles/ m6.

They are asking nearly 11k for it, although just 2 days ago dealership had a 00 ss with 53k for 11k. It sold in one day. Theres a nice 1999 z28 with only 10k miles, It just popped up and they want 17k. NADA value on a 1999 z28 with 9k miles is only alittle under 10k

i bought my 01 with 67k for right about 9k it had all the slp induction stuff and leather int with the superchip tune.

the good thing about that car you're looking at is you know it hasnt been beat and thrashed so there is some piece of mind there. im with camarokatie ^ if its worth it to you its a good deal and to find one of these cars in that condition is very rare.

So NADA is a reasonable for what are car whould be worth?

I've been looking and most ss are going for 3-5k more than NADA. It says a 1999 z28 with 10k miles is worth only 10k, Yet a 1999 ss with 96k is with 8k.. Whats up with it being so cheap for the z28, yet the ss is worth almost the same? I understand its unlikely anyone could ever get a dealer to actually go that low for such a low mileage car but it just confuses the hell out of me.

also not hijack the thread, just wanting to know whats up with that.

The book values of these kinds of cars are all messed up, I looked up the kbb of this car and it said like 7 for private party. I wish I could find a nice camaro for 7!

I got my 99 ss with 25,000 miles for $10,000 in april 09. It is as clean and close to new as i could find at any price. It is a m6 white ss with t-tops from the original owner with the orignal tires. I had an 11 hour drive to get it but it was excatly what i wanted and 3-5 grand less than most other low mile ss from private parties.

In december of last year i got my A4 stripper model Z28 with 50,133 miles on it, I paid out the door at the stealership $8,200, and my engine bay always gets compliments because it looks brand new, headlights are not dulled, which that is something to ask the seller, if it is always under a cover/garage kept, why are the headlights so hazy? Right now that car is worth maybe $8,600 to $9,200.

I was wondering about the headlights also, I just didn't ask him. I was thinking of offering him $9,000.

Yeah my car sat an auction lot before the dealer I picked it up from bought it and my headlights are as clear as new. If he really "baby'd" that car then those should look brand new, how does the engine bay look?

The engine bay looks as clean as it was from the factory. I also looked underneath the car and its not dirty or anything. The car is the cleanest car I've ever see other then brand new cars. I thought maybe he just had it detailed somewhere but he showed me the rest of his cars and trucks and they were all that nice. Also he took me in his house and it was clean also. So I'm pretty sure this guy is just that lean or he went through a lot of trouble to try and sell a car. haha

SLP LID - A4 Shift Kit, Strano Springs up front and SLP Tuned in the back with Bilsteins all around. Blackout Projector Lights with Halo Ring, Billet Front Grill . Also got some Polished Stainless Steel LongTubes 1 3/4 with it. I Really dont want to sell it because of its Limited Production, but im open to offers.
