There is a stickey in the drag racing tech fourm about weight reduction.

But as for me, I've only taken out the spare tire & jack. Took out the rear seats & passenger seat once @ the track, but put them back in when I was done.

i actually just did all that today...

tore about the front end to remove just about all the plastics and liners except the front air dam. removed all the smog/egr pump crap. removed the window washer reservoir. removed the metal bumper support and the foam insert. removed the rear seats (left the seat belts for now). removed a few of the rear plastics and carpet, as well as the spare tire and jack assembly.

Question, does all that really make a reasonable difference. I mean if you daily drive your car what diff. does 200lbs actually make.

and if its a "race car" take the ac and radio out.

Just my $.02

makes a big difference..

if your going to do it, you need to do it... dont half *** it....

i DD my car.. it weighs right at 3k lbs..

bumper supports
rear seats
jeg racing seats
ac
horn
amp
speakers
washer reservoir
basically everything from the front seats/console back is out of the car (ttops holders, wires, etc etc etc)
heat shields

pretty much all acc. and anything that can be taken out/off the car except for behind the dash has been taken off... i have about 75 or so more lbs behind the dash... and i havnt even cut anything off yet..
