My Z28 + GMC + Dirt Road + F150 = Boom!
Alright so approx. 8:55 am (az time) I stopped at a RR crossing and there was construction there so worker were signaling for cars to turn around. I proceeded to make a U-Turn and I was traveling South @ 45-50 mph as a GMC SUV pulls out in front of trying to make a U-Turn. I avoided her as I went off the road in the dirt and came back on the pavement as I lost control and did a 180 and hit a ford f150 in the oncoming traffic (I am pointed North now)
The lady got a citation for pulling in front of me so she is at fault or appears to be the case where its partially my fault because my insurance will pay the damages to the f-150 which were really minimal.
My Z28 has a gashed fender, bumper, lights, broken tie rod and who knows what else and a dented hood. I didnt take pictures of it as the cops did when they showed up. I will post them when I pick it up from the tow yard on Monday. But yeah this sucks

damn dude that sucks. Just yesterday I was driving home in my winter beater (94 continental) and my plastic idler pulley decided to break and need less to say I lost power steering and my dashlights went dim... I ended up jumping a curb and coming to a stop on someones yard. I popped the hood and the belt was clear off. Some damage to the front bumper but nothing much.

just got a call back from the shop and they said the estimate is around 3300 bucks... does that seem right for a fender, bumper, tie rod, paint and labor? or is that steep... I believe they will total it if that is the case, the car is worth like 4700 in perfect condition

Hard call if thats good. Me and my buddy do autobody on the side but our prices are crazy compared to shops, makes us look like we give it away . Anyway, your going threw your insurance? Because if your not using insurance just go CL and get parts to have a shop paint and install.
