Looking for opinions on an engine bay mounted turbo kit for an 02 SS. Not wanting to do an STS kit and no cheap Chinese Ebay run for a month and send shrapnel into my 22k LS1. Remember reading about a kit that relocated the ABS ans something else but retained all underhood accessories, a/c, etc. Cannot find the mag or article. Looking for about 500 RWHP. Still want to be able to road trip it, track, autocross, etc. I know I could piece together a kit but I am a turbo virgin and want this to be right b/c the car is so clean.

Ideas?

Hoping for the $5-6k range... Am I dreaming here?

Why don't you look in the forced induction section....Huron speed...modular turbo...I believe straightline and speed Inc do it. Or look for a used procharger and make it easy.
