Awesome site- Thanks! 2001 Z28 Convertible
All:
I just wanted to thank everyone on this site for the awesome posts/ threads.
I recently bought (2 weeks ago) a 2001 Chevy Camaro Z28 Convertible. LS1, 6 Speed Tremec, Petwer, new top with 103,000 miles. It's a 2 owner car and bone stock. One of my neighbors had it and I made an offer and bought it for a good price.
As a result of this site, I've already done numerous maintenence projects on it.
New spark plugs, plug wires, new wheels and tires, getting the leather driver's seat recovered, changed oil, trans fluid, rear end fluid, fuel filter, new rear brakes, new rear shocks, new GM floor mats, overall clean up etc.
I have done most of the work myself; got a Haynes manual and used this site for more information and tips. The car is a blast to work on and drives really well.
It is in overall excellent condition and could be put into a local car show tomorrow. I love the LS1 and 6 speed. Awesome combo.
My insurance is really cheap too. $120 a year from Leland West for an agreed value of $12,000.
Thanks again to everyone for their insight!
