69 Camaro cragar wheels
My wife's grandpa has a 69 Camaro SS and has been wanting some cragar ss wheels for it for the longest time. Recently he has found out he has colon cancer and the family is wanting to get him a set for his car. He wants the 14x7 cragar ss but I'm not sure what backspacing to get. The rims they show on jegs are a 4 1/8" backspacing and we are using a 225/70 tire because he already has a new set of those. I just want to make sure the 4 1/8" backspacing will work.

With that narrow of a tire (225mm), I don't think you'd have any fitment issues at all with a 7" wide wheel and 4.125" backspacing.
It's not the same as a Camaro, but my Nova does share some similar front underpinnings as 1st gen Camaros. I have no issues at all using a 15x7" Cragar S/S wheel with the same backspacing (4.125") and 225/60 front tires, 245/60 rear tires. Only thing close to being an issue is the outer tie rod ends up front; they are about as close to the inner sidewall of the tires as they can be while still being safe. This is due, in part, to having front drum brakes though. Disc brakes would push the wheel out about another 1/4" or so.
Having said that, Camaro and Nova are not exactly the same, so you'd probably be best off to try a forum that specializes in older Camaros, just for solid confirmation. You won't find many members here that have much experience with 14" wheel fitment on 1st gen Camaros (most older Camaros found here are Pro-touring type cars with much bigger wheels.)
Good luck with everything.
