Default 100mm MAF & 104mm Lid?

Not sure if this is the right section or not but I had some questions because I wanted to move on to my Induction mods, since its all stock right now.

I am working on my 2002 Z28 and so far I have my TSP 228r cam (112 LSA), Stainless steel long tubes, ORY, SLP Loudmouth II catback, K&N filter, Tune, and some NGK TR6 Plugs. I have some suspension and drivetrain upgrades but the above list is it for the "power Mods" as I'll call them.

I had my car tuned at Houston House of Power (Chucks LSX) and the guy on phone duty recommenced me replacing my stock lid and MAF with a Texas speed 100mm MAF and 104mm Lid. His justifications were that those parts would allow me to grow with a wilder heads and cam set up and would work with anything else I decide to do. He also stated that it would make a substantial difference that would only be augmented with the use of a FAST 102/102 set up.

My concerns are if the drive-ability would suffer, if my MPG could get any worse, and how much power I'll actually gain. Car made 372 RWHP before full exhaust. Thanks for the help guys.

The stock MAF is good to around 500 or so rwhp, so unless you plan on going much above that I don't see you gaining much at all. The lid and Fast intake should help a bit though

if you are running the stock intake I doubt you'll see anything. People gain power with a maf well before 500whp but its because the maf housing is too small. With a 78mm tb a 100mm maf isnt going to let anymore air in, nevermidn the intake behind it doesnt need more air. Now if you have a fast 92 or 102 with better plenum volume and longer runners and you're necking it down to a 75mm maf then ya thats a restriction and a problem. If you get a fast then def upgrade the maf or go SD

So I should just leave my lid and MAF stock? I wanted to be at the 440-450 RWHP when its all said and done with Heads, FAST 102/102, bigger MAF, and LID.

What should I do to my induction if I dont do lid or MAF?

well as I said if you are going with a fast which you look like you are then you need to go to a larger maf and lid for the most power gains. if you were keeping the stock ls6 intake theres no need for a larger maf
