Default LSX and 4l80 into a gbody

I'm in the process of researching everything I'm going to need to convert my 87 Olds 442 to a LSX block motor and 4L80. Is the only wiring harness that will work from a 6.0L 2wd truck with a 4l80 and no DBW? Or can I use a DBW setup and convert it to cable?

The other option is BS3, but I don't think that would have provisions to control the tranny.

Thanks!

when i did mine i used the stock pickup harness, but it doesnt leave any options for mounting the computer except in the front fender, drivers side where the battery goes. If you dont mind it there it will go right on, have to change injector plugs if you upgrade and use a EV1 injector. Otherwise call up any of the vendors like speartech and have it made, they will put the correct plugs on a new harness for you. In reality though if you stick with the front mounted computer a truck harness is a cakewalk to wire in, just do all the power, fuel pump, etc and your done.

John at Speartech can make a harness to run whatever trans, throttlebody type, length of harness you like.
