ls1 into an 84 camaro
1984 z28
ok the search button has failed me as i have gotten results for everythign but a 3rd gen Fbody.
I found a lot of swap parts an http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ls...sionparts.aspx
however i'm interested in knowing what else i am getting into besides the need for just parts and a car.
I haven't decided if i am going to go with a t56 or a 4l60e or other auto trans yet.
any input is appreciated.

As far as swap info goes, you should probably start right here...

Hawks is a good place to get your swap parts and information, but as V8 said, I am surpised that you have not found any information on what you have been searching for. The 3rd Gen F-Body swap is coming very common now. Try changing your search words.
As far as the M6 vs A4, that is a question that only you can answer, what type of usage will this car have, Street, Strip, bracket racing, etc.. do you have all Auto or manual cars now.. what do you really want.. to be using a auto for ease of driving and or want to be banging some gears..
Good luck and if you have specific question, ask away.

Good to know you found info!
The thirdgen - LSx swap is likely one of the easiest swaps, simple because the back 60% of the car, matches a vehicle that came with the LSx from the factory!

I also have a k-member for sale. The only thing is you also will need a/m control arms and coil-over's. I used a different setup on my 92 but DID go with all tubular suspension and changed over to aerospace brakes on all four corners too. Hey, if it runs the way I hope, I want it to STOP too!!

i have all the swap figured out, for 3rd gens. with th350/400 trans
i need to figure the manual steering mod. using the s10 gearbox.
its getting harder to locate fbody ps pumps now,
imo the fbody is the best serpentine system for swaps. the c5 is too high priced and the truck is too bulky and heavy
