LS1 Swap help
Ok, I have a 94' chevy 1500 with a 4.3 vortec v6. And I have decided this motor sucks. I was gonna put rims on my truck in the next week or two, but I want to do the motor swap first.
I found a good deal on an LS1 and I was wondering.
1) will it bolt right in.
2) will I need to modify my wiring harness for it to work right.
3) What other parts will I need to make this work.
4) what transmission will I need or will the one behind the 4.3 work.
I am mainly wooried about whether or not I will have to change the whole harness to do this.
Any info and tips are appreciated

It will prety much bolt right in, but you will need to modify several things including the A/C, P/S lines, nad I think the frame/oil pan. THe harness will need modifying unless you pay someone like Speatech to build you a plug in swap harness. THe trans can be made to work but will need a stand alone controller to run it. It would be cheaper to just install a 4L60E run off the same PCM.

Don't know how much it cost but there is no better company for custom harness builds IMHO. I'm sure it's not cheap, but it's either do it yourself (if you can) or pay someone to do it for you.
