Source for super tight tuck headers?
My motor is finally in....what a relief. The only problem (possibly big problem) is the CPP 500 steering box is very close... like less than 2.5" from the block.
I checked out Patriots tight tuck headers and they measure 4" from the block until they turn down. I tried calling S&P just to see what they had...impossible to speak to their header guy. They're so busy.
Here are some pics:

Try Sanderson Headers (http://www.sandersonheaders.com/) They have more LS1 headers than they show on-line, call for a catalog. They have all the measurements shown in their catalog pics. I ended up having to modify a set and they helped out with a whole box of scrap bends for $20, then when we were done I sent them back to be ceramic coated. They only charged me $115 for the coating and had them back to me in less than a week.

Nobody will offer headers with that tight of a radius. I would be surprised if you'll even be able to make a set if you have a port coming out right in to the steering box. My bet would be on needing to relocate the engine or steering box.

I had to modify a corvette tube manifold. The tubes were cut about 3/4 through just outside the mounting flange. Then moved the lower part of the manifold toward the oil pan. Had them welded back up and sent them to get ceramic coated. This was for clearance on my steering shaft.
