L92/4L60E in 1980 camaro- pcm/harness???
Currently looking at the GMPP controller kit(19201327) for my conversion. Along with the L92/4L60E, I plan to change over to 4th gen firebird dash & gauges with a C5 column. Unsure of shifter at this time.
But have some unanswered questions I hope to resolve. Here is a list of what I would like to have controlled through pcm;
4L60E
cruise control
torque converter lock up
That's it aside from the obvious DBW,fuel pump & cooling fan.
Now, since it is OEM style, can it be reflashed to add cruise & TCC if not already set up for it? I already have a 5.3 truck harness, 4th gen LS1 harness/pcm and the L92 stock harness. Plans were to make one work, but can't see doing it for what the GMPP harness kit goes for.
Other options come to mind are using L92 harness/ pcm and getting reflashed ,or going with a site sponsor?? Don't forget, this is a budget build.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Joe

I didn't think that the GM system worked with the L92.
It has no controls for the VVT.
As for the auto trans, that GM kit doesn't control that either, you would have to spend just as much on a separate trans controller.
