ignition coil difference?
whats the difference between all the different coils?
ls1 ls6 coils ,and ls2 ls7 coils, and the truck coils?
are they all interchangable? ones better than other?
its for a 402 ls2 with a procharger, it has a LS1 reluctor ring on the crank so should i just stick with LS1 stuff.

There are connector differences and mounting differences also.
The LS2 coils are physically smaller but something like 4 times hotter than the LS1 coils. Truck coils are hotter yet.

Just for reference (I know you're relocating) the LS2 coils sit a little bit higher on the valve covers, and hopelessly interfere with the LS1 fuel rail. If you plan on using the LS2 coils and an LS1 rail, be prepared to weld some sort of fitting on, or use a really good compression fitting.
(I used a Swagelok fitting and it worked, but if I had to do it again, I would either get the truck coils or weld a piece of straight tube onto the fuel rail and go from there.)

I know this is raising something from beyond dead (by 12 years) but I am having an issue with the Daytona Smart Spark.
I have the heatsink truck coils and harnesses that came with them. My engine is set up as a 58/4 with cam timing gear and crank switched to a 58x.
The ignition is only firing one coil per side. Apparently has been the whole time I have been fighting with trying to get it going.
I am having a very hard time swallowing a $600+ cost to buy coils from them because of something in the wiring that is not allowing the coils to fire properly.
Does anyone have any idea as to what the difference is and if I could just repin the harness to make the truck coils work?
Or do I have to bend over and take it dry with no reach around and just buy the coils and get it over with?
Which, by the way, will also mean having to buy new ICT relocation brackets since I dont think these will work with the other coils.

I emailed their tech support last night but no response yet.
I have pretty much decided to get a 6014 box.
Since both are then Holley items, they should work fine.
A local tuner guy said that he uses the 6014 with a Sniper
and the engine usually just works like it should without issue.
I got the Daytona on a trade deal is why I am trying to use it.
It and the harness were brand new when I got them.
I know Daytona offers free testing, same as Holley for the Sniper.
But even Holley had no idea at all how to hook the Daytona to the Sniper.
