4L60E into Park?
I thought I had saved the thread on this but I can't find it.
Looking at the shift linkage shaft on the side of the 4L60E, is fully CW or CCW the Park position? For a linkage plate hanging down from the shifter shaft - all the forward or back for park??
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the info. The 4L60E is bolted into my '87 Mercedes and that means that I need to have the shift linkage lever go upwards from the shifter shaft so the MB shift lever moves it correctly. A little trig and I know I need a 3.39" lever on the 4L60 to match the travel of the 4.25" MB lever. It only took several decades to finally use some of that high school math!
Found another question while I was under the car. The 4L60 has seven distinct notches in the travel of the shift shaft instead of six like the Benz. Thankfully the first four positions (PRND?) take about the same travel as the MB linkage but I don't know what the other three position are doing.
Is this a Park - Reverse - Neutral - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1?
