I got an old sbc alternator and starter that i was wondering how or if anyone one of u guys have used these parts on ur current lsx build? if u got any pics or info lmk. thanks.

You might be able to use the alternator if you can get a bracket to work and use a serpentine belt. I think you would be better off using a proper alternator for the motor. The starter won't fit. The engines are completely different.

Internally there is nothing that will interchange.

Externally, again not much will outright fix, you will have to resort to building or buying new brackets if you want to use SBC Alternator, power steering pump or the AC compressor. But it is doable... but why ?

Probably cheaper to buy the proper LSX parts.

Alts are like... $50. I got one brand new off eBay for that. As for starters, well, I don't know anything about them.

what do you mean by 'old'? the old si alternators only put out like 60 amps. the cs would be much better, but even that is only 105 amps. you're better off selling the alt and buying a late-model.
