where can i find a complete engine here in so cal. I see them some on craigslist here and there. I dont know where all these people get the complete 5.3 engines with everything for around 500 bucks. I have always been a pick a part junkie and i have only come across one ls type engine during my searches and that truck was stripped to the bone. Ebay has some good deals. There are a few companies on there that sell them but i would rather find something out here.

Try A-1 Truck Wrecking in Rialto. Usually has a large inventory of truck based engines. Did a quick 5.3 search; $500 - $1000, 17 engines listed.

Contact "All Truck" in the Sunland/Tujunga area. They usually have a pretty good stock and pretty fair prices.
