Default 70 Chevelle-Canton or Moroso oil pan?

I have used the search function...
Is anybody running a Canton LS swap oil pan pn-13274A? It seems to be the only pan that LOOKS as if it would clear the center steering (drag) link on a 70 A-body... How about the Moroso pn-20141? The Moroso would definately aid in getting the oil back to the sump though I cannot find any measurements of the foremost point of the oil pan (depth). It kinda looks like it has a groove or a step that might clear the steering link but Im not sure... Anybody have some good info?

AutoKraft sure have nice pans but apparently do not clear the steering link without having to raise the engine...

I just installed an Autokraft pan along with the Edelbrock LS1 conversion kit into a '72 A body and the tie rods clear- but it is close. I did shim the motor around 3/8" on the passenger side to clear the #6 exhaust pipe which was coming into contact with the frame so maybe that allowed the tie rods to clear but it all ended up working pretty good. The pan clearance is really good everywhere else, especially the ground clearance.

Thanks for the info! What is the capacity of the AutoKraft pan? Also, could I trouble you for a AutoKraft Pan measurement? I would like to know how deep the pan is at the foremost section- pan seal mating surface to the bottom of the pan. Thanks in advance. Btw, I have been noticing that the Tri-bolt pattern of edelbrock ls adapter plates are placed further back compared to all others on the market. All the others utilize 1 of the LS mounting holes whereas edelbrock doesn't...I wonder if that causes header clearance issues? Maybe I was looking at an F-body plate?

The Autokraft pan holds 7 1/2 quarts including filter. The dimension of the pan from the flange to the bottom of the pan at the front is just a little over 2 1/4" to be safe. Regarding the adapter plates and header fitment, the Edelbrock kit that I used worked fine. I can't vouch for other combos. I have attached some pics of my '72 Chevelle with the pan and edelbrock adapter plates.

I called Autokraft and they said the LS1 oil pan holds 5 quarts. I'm going with the 7 quart Moroso 20141.

Last Moroso pan I bought for a Crate engine Gen 6 454 leaked out of the corners and it turned out was seriously warped from being welded together at the factory. I would stay away from any of their fabricated pans. I simply called their tech line to politely ask about my problem and was blamed. I returned the pan and bought the GMPP oil pan kit for my Elcamino. It was made in Taiwan ROC.
