Default LQ4 or LQ6 to 2002 Firebird 3.8...

I was wondering if this would basically be like an LS1 swap?

Also requesting alittle more information regarding the motor itself... Does the LQ4 / LQ6 use the same bottom end as the LS1? The Vortec Intake can be swapped out for an LS6 / Fast Intake correct? They can use the exact same heads / cam as the LS1's correct? I'm asking because these motors are relatively inexpensive. Combined with the fact that they're 6.0's, they can be made pretty quick.

Yes you can use the ls6 or fast intake but you will have to change accesories and yes you can use the same heads/cams. The 6L truck engines where lq4 lower compression and lq9 higher compression.

Bottom end is the same, just drill & tap for the Alternator mount.
