Default oil pan install?

It looks like a easy job, but any do's or dont's out there, any tips?

I believe you need to make sure the rear of the pan is perfectlyinline with the rear or the block iffin iI recall correctly. I am sure someone will chime in soon. I am just learning too. Sorry. LOL

yes its important for sealing.prob 10x more critical if running any tranny that has the bolt holes along bottom( like a 6 speed, etc). standard 350, 400, 200 or 700 isnt that important. just use a straight-edge ruler along back of block and tighten down

also be very easy when installing the oil pickup tube. its easy to strip the little bolt if your not careful!

true..also remember pickup tube o-ring!!!! and a nice dab of red or black silicone in each corner of pan.....
