Need some advice on brakes!
No, this doesn't have to deal with my 5.3L exactly, but it does deal with the mustang it's going into! Alright, here is the deal:
I may be picking up a rear end out of a 01' ford explorer with rear disc brakes to stick into my 65' mustang. My Mustang has a Mustang II front suspension from Rod and Custom, which I believe uses chevy single style calipers.
What I would really like to know is how to go about choosing the proper master cylinder for my setup once I collect all the pieces. I have yet to mount my motor, so if I have the room I would like to run power brakes.
My searches so far have turned up how to determine the amount of pressure based on pedal ratio and MC bore size. (Here at the bottom)
Not sure how that pressure translates to line pressure though? Also, what pressure is needed for disc brakes? I assume it depends on the size of the caliper piston. If anybody can straighten me out that would be great, thanks!
