I'm trying to make some progress on my 88 lsx mustang. Were dropping a mostly stock ls1 out of a 01 ss. We were planning on using a 155mph speedo from a camaro, but after talking to Painless today discovered most harnesses are only engine. I honeslty have no clue what I am doing here, kind of shooting from the hip. I already have the stock computers, and was planning on selling the stock harness.

What should i do?!? Is there another company who makes a complete harness that would do everything I want it to do, or would I be better off tearing apart the old harness and modding it for my car? (that looks and sounds like horrible, boring, tedious work)

why do you want to use the f body cluster? imo, modify the stock harness your self and call it a day.

thought the fbody cluster would be kinda cool? If i modify the stock harness would i be able to make the gauges work?? also, where can i find some wiring diagrams?

If you will search, in this section for schematics, you'll find all of the 99-02 engine schematics posted. I know they are there, because I posted them.

You can get standalone harnesses on ebay for less than $450 comes with gage wires. The easiest route for gages will be to go aftermarket.

the cluster i has actualy fits pretty well, and i think looks great. figured itd save me some money, and be kinds unique. should it hook right up to the stock harness i have from the ss?
