02 Firebird V6 to LSX swap... Dash wiring question...
Firstly, I want to reuse my stock V6 125 MPH cluster. Will my dash wiring need to be modified at all? The car is a 2002 and the PCM will be out of an 02 LS1. If it needs to be modified, what needs to be done? If I chose to go with the 155 MPH speedometer, would it still need to be re-wired?

He's right, you don't need to rewire.. I wouldn't say the 150mph gauges are "better" though.. I had the 150 cluster in for a while, but the airbag pin is different and you'll have an airbag light on all the time (so your airbags won't work unless you do pin work).. So I said screw it, and put the 125 cluster back in.. No sense in having airbags if they're not going to work.. Also, how often are you going to be going over 125 anyway?

You will need a schematic for the dash harness plug on the V6. Like which wire runs the volts, oil pressure, temp, stuff like that. Then match the ones off the ls1 harness to the v6 and it should work. It would be cool if you get the right plugs and just wire them up to the correct spot, so you can just plug in the engine harness straight to the dash harness.
Do the V6's run most of the gauges off of a serial data wire, like the ls1's? I mean if so, this swap is about as simple as it gets.
