Wiring neutral safety switch with AAW harness and stand-alone
I want to see how others have wired their transmissions. I'm having some trouble with this....
I have a '04 LS1 with a 4L60e and a B&M floor shifter. I'm using the American Auto Wire Classic Fit harness in my '56 Chevy. I bought a stand-alone LS1 harness.
The floor shifter has a built-in neutral safety switch. The AAW harness has two purple wires that are supposed to be wired to the neutral safety switch. I also have two wires from the LS1 harness (P/N switch) that are closed circuit.
I'm not sure how to get this together. Do I need two safety switches? Where do the wires go? How do I integrate the wires from the engine harness?

If the purple wire or wires is the one that goes to the starter it should be the right one. What you want to do is interupt the 12 volts to the small terminal on the starter. If you have a meter you can check the shifter swich. It should closed only in park and neutral. Thats what my B&M shifter does.
