Will harness and PCM from an 05 5.3 work on an 02 5.3?

Will harness and PCM from an 05 5.3 work on an 02 5.3? I have an 02 5.3 motor and picked up a harness and PCM that I was under the impression was from an 02. I just ran the PCM numbers and found it's from an 05. Being that it's DBW, will it still work with the motor as long as I get the throttle pedal and TAC module?
Anything else I'll need to do?
Like move the knock sensors or anything? Different reluctor wheel?

cant see why not. as long as the ecm, drive-by-wire system, and harness are all compatible, it'll be fine. its possible that a connector or two may have different plugs, but i seriously doubt it since they're both 5.3s. should be just fine.

Yes all the plugs will be the exact same. The problem with the TAC module is that it may not work with the PCM. They kinda have to be a pair to work with each other from what I've read. SO you could buy a tac and it might not even work still.

My question is, which '05 engine is it? Is it off the all aluminum Gen lV, or is it off the same old cast iron block LM7 5.3. We just got through going the other way...
early #411 PCM and 2002 harness on an '05 all aluminum 5.3. The plugs are NOT the same in a lot of cases. Our's was luckily a 24X engine. I've been told that some '05's are 58X. You for sure want to find out if your '05 PCM is compatible with the 24X 2002 engine. Our '05 had completly different injector plugs. Easiest for us to use the complete '02 intake and injectors. Our '05 had the side mounted knock sensors. If your harness is for the old style, your ok. Ours had the front mounted cam sensor. None of these are problems that can't be solved if the PCM is compatible with the 24X reluctor. You may already know the answer to that or the guys who have already posted may have already taken that into consideration. Anyway, IMO, it would be easier to get the earlier harness and PCM and sell the one you have. Just my .02 cents worth. Ron
