If you have any questions let me know. It took a lot of research back then.

I have a 1964 Impala SS convertible that I was thinking of upgrading to a late model LS engine.

Do you guys know if the factory truck intake and accessory drive fits or do you have to swap over the car intake and accessories?

Remember these cars had factory carbs and very deep engine bays and the truck intake is around the same height as a carb with an air cleaner. The alternator is nearly the same height as the top of the intake so it shouldn't be an issue.

Your car looks good. You might want to change the clear on your dash to a flat clear because the glare is horrible. I have a gloss black dash in mine and im going to change it because of the glare. Or you can justr put something on the dash to hide the glare also. Just a little heads up thats all.

ccarriii,
Looks great! I have just begun the process of restoring a 61 impala conv. and have started with suspension from Global West, Ford 9" with Chevy ends, disc brakes from Right Stuff, and am working on a LQ4 with an F-body pan. I am also going with vintage air and a friend of mine found a bracket for the LS2 that relocates the compressor and switches the tensioner pulley to clear the cross member. My question is have you test fit the trans? I would like to go with a manual but I have heard that a T56 will take some tunnel modification and the TKO will take a bit more. Any suggestions?
