6.0 in a '47 Diamond T truck.
Just got back from my buddy's salvage yard with, I think, everything I'll need to get the beast wired. I'd gotten the engine harness with the 6.0, but nothing else. Another buddy who's done several advised me to get the underhood fuse/relay panel, and anything else I could get. I was able to get that complete, and chunks of the harness from that into the cab, back to the fuel tank. He's going to help me sort it out, and with some of the info here, I feel (fairly) comfortable I can figure it out.
The donor truck was a '01 4x4 2500HD, the trans is from an '04 half ton van. So, I think now I'm ready to start wiring. And scratching my head...
I'm using SW electronic gauges, with tach and speedo which I'm hoping will work with the bits of GM stuff I have. The rest of the harness should be fairly simple, old style switches in the dash for ign, starter, and lighting, no A/C, just a heater and stereo, no cruise.
