Looking for LQ4 info
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a 2004 LQ4 and I am looking for some guidance on what route to take for parts.
Now, I know many of these questions have already been answered but with all of this knowledge on this site, I decided I would start a new thread anyway.
I know I will need a new intake to fit under my hood. I also know that the LS1/6 intakes will work. Will I also need the fuel injectors and fuel rail to go along with the intake, or are the LQ4 injectors and fuel rail fine?
Will the LS2/3 (or other) intakes also work or is it not worth the hassle?
Does anyone have a good resource for wiring and ecu pin outs? I still need an ecu, does it matter what engine or vehicle it is from?
I'm sure I will have many more questions.
Thanks in advance

You need the complete car intake injectors and rails and swap the truck injector plugs for the car ones.
LS1 flows same as truck. LS6 is better than the truck. LS2 is 90mm but not as good flow as the LS6. The LS3 won't fit as its a square port intake.
I would swap to the L92 heads and run the LS3 intake for more power!!!!

Thanks, this is the kind of information I was hoping to get.
While the LS3 intake sounds nice, I had better get the swap done first. I will probably seek out an LS6 intake with the F-body or corvette fuel rails and injectors.
Anyone have any comments on the ECU?
