New Venue For My LS2
I had originally intended to put an LQ4 + TKO 600 into my 1970 F100 pickup. In my search for the right LQ4 I stumbled across an LS2 out of an '06 GTO and so my budget engine swap got a bit more expensive. After deciding I really wanted my pickup to not only go fast, but to handle good as well, I looked into the cost involved and it got pricey really, really, fast. So I did what any sane person would do and picked up a pretty sweet 86 Corvette. So my LQ4 + TKO swap into my F100 pickup turned into an LS2 + T56 swap into an 86 Corvette. I'm still scratching my head a bit over how this all happened, but Hell, this is going to be exciting.
I've already read quite a bit both on here and on other forums where guys have done a similar swap. I think I've got most of my questions answered, but I'm positive more will come up and you guys will be a great help, so I thank you all in advance. Oh crap, that reminds me. Anybody need an L98 + Doug Nash 4+3 manual tranny pullout? It's the original motor & tranny with 79k miles on it. Runs great, leaks a bit of oil from the passenger side valve cover. Here are some pics of the Corvette.

T56 Acquired!
I finally found a good deal on a T56! Got this yesterday. I still need to get a bellhousing along with some other odds and ends, but we're getting close to where we need to be to get started. Just a few more weeks and I should be set.
Oh, and I spoke to Dan from Vetteworks today. It sounds like he's working on a similar project (LS2 into an '84 C4). He seemed like a pretty nice guy and offered to send me some pics of his project. He's also working on a new LSx adapter plate for the C4's. I may be the first to try out his new adapter plate!

Well of course you do! I just ordered a bell housing today from Tick. It was $189.99. If you were going to part with yours for much less, please spare me the pain and don't tell me. I'm trying to justify spending thousands and thousands of dollars on this project by convincing myself I'm being thrifty and getting "smoking deals" on all my parts. I'll be more than $6k over my original budget by the time this is done.
