Default Cat-back for LS3 stang

Hey all,
I'm looking at cat-back kits to go along with my 99 LS3 Stang project. Most bolt up kit manufactures design the kits for the 4.6L with only 2.5" tubes, but I've noticed that most people run 3" here-probably from being a much larger displacement engine. I know the mid pipe from the E-rod to the cat back will have to be custom, but I was hoping to use a kit from flowmaster etc. to keep cost down. Will 2.5" be too restrictive for the 6.2?

Thanks all,

Rich

on my ls1 i have 1 3/4 longtubes with 3" collectors which then go into 3" cutouts and then reduced to a 2.5" x pipe and catback.

shouldnt be restrictive as far as im concerned.

i will be able to just open the cutouts at the track

That's a good point, I was looking into cut outs. Maybe i should do that. I would like to go with the electric ones though so i can surprise some people on the road lol.
