cooling fans not coming on with A/C
I have a 1969 chevy C10 that we have installed a 2001 5.3 motor and trans in to with the whole wiring harness , BCM, Gauge cluster and steering colum from the 01.. We are using classic auto airs A/C setup with the 01 compressor.
We have the compressor wired in to the factor wiring and it workes great.. but the PCM does not turn on the fans or step up the motor. We have the fans wired in to the blue 42 pin on the PCM.. I have been searching on the site but all I have found is about how to the the Compressor to turn on..
We are all most done with this truck we just need to get this fixed so we can start to drive it.. Please help..

Do the fans come on regularly in accordance with the temperature, if not its probably because the truck PCM didn't control fans since it had a mechanical fan in that year. The PCM will probably need an operating system reflash to include fan operation.
My initial thoughts anyhow

Is the PCM turning the compressor on?

As discussed in that link, for now the only way to do it is to wire the high speed control on your relay into the signal that goes to the AC compressor from the clutch relay.
