ls1/t56 07' tacoma xrunner
after popping the old v6 with only 10 psi i decided to move on. I purchased a ls1 from a ws6 with 21k and a t56 from a ssr with 3 k. here is some pics of my build so farmock up of mounts, bottom plate is 3/8" and tabs are 5/16" thick steel. was tacked with a little mig and then tig welded in with 1018? rod.
Im installing a keisler mid shift kit which lets me move the shift up about 12.5 inches to an inspection plate, so I could drop the engine further down and back and have an awesome direct tranny feel/shift. The handle I made but it wont be near that long, that was kind of a guesstimate. I have almost no driveline angle so a 1 piece is forsure!! Notice the new lower subframe mount.
New front core before powder coating and sand blasting. allows room for a nice radiator and fan setup.
Cylinder walls in old 1GR after breaking a ring land, looks awesome and notice the crosshatching still present. it was equal in all cylinders.

Wish I could see the pics at work. I have a '89 w/ a 2004 GTO ls1/6speed. I kept the factory shift location w/ a F-body shifter.
Still need to get it inspected and tagged before i do some real shake down runs in it. Just been around the neighborhood so far.
