Default why not use a batwing oilpan

im putting a 5.3 in a second gen F-body and i need a reason why the batwing oilpan may not fit between the frame rails? i tried finding specs and/or pics but i didnt have any luck?
plus the batwing oilpan is cheap!

I believe it hits the subframe, there is someone who successfully used it but they had to notch the subframe. IMO it's easier to spend $50 more on an fbody oil pan than having to cut and weld the frame.

it hits the main xmember, if you do alot of fabbing you can get it to fit, but again not worth it, and then youd have to get some special headers either made or fab work done on a set of vette headers.... the lh8 pan fits, just hangs a tad lower than the fbody but its cheaper..
