Reworked my buddies harness today.
Multiple issues solved:
- Cooling fan operated via dash mounted toggle switch - Now PCM controlled
- All 8 injector connector clips snapped off causing INJ connectot plugs to fall off/mis-fire - installed new INJ connectors and keepers
- fuel trims are now less than 4% on both banks
- O2 sensor connectors swapped bank for bank, visa/versa causing fuel trims to swing to extremes and foul pass O2 sensor - swapped connectors and installed new O2's
- No data on OBD2 port - rewired OBD2 port for +12v and dataline to PCM
- Check engine lamp non-existent - Installed CEL
- Walmart relays and tons of crimp connectors, all on RED wires- GM weatherpack relays - Installed in-line fuses, Labeled all fuses and relays
All wires from harness were RED - replaced wires with GM standard color coded wires; soldered and heat shrinked all connections
All in all, it was as very productive day and the owner is estatic about having a reliable and good running vehicle.

Wow that looks like a sweet project, now just toss a engine cover on there! I had that same problem with plugging in the O2 sensors from one bank into the other when I did the 5.3 swap into my 69' (soon to be 6.0l).
