Can anyone point me to dimensions or comparison pictures for the different LSX alternators out there? I am likely going to a low-mount setup on my LY6 and space may be at a premium. Thanks in advance for any help/info.

I thought that the alternators were the same, but the bracketry was different. Someone pipe up if this is wrong!

I placed the truck alternator in the AC position on my Thunderbird with a custom bracket. See my sig for a link to the build thread.

I am using vette bracket on my LY6 in a 2nd gen camaro. Picked up a used GTO alternator cheap. Bolt spacing is different and will not bolt up to the vette brkt. Still have to buy another one that will actually fit. So check before you buy if you are using stock brackets.

The truck alt is big. But I was able to bolt it right up the F-body bracket in my RX7 swap. The stock belt just fits.

The truck alternator and F-body alternators will work in either bracket however the case is larger on the truck alternator. I have one of each at the shop. I will try to snap you some pics and measurements tomorrow.
