Default ls coil question

i've got a 6.0 i'm going carb with in my 69 nova.i'm going to be using the edelbrock victor jr intake and msd box combo.i've got a complete set of the round style coils(i think they're ls3 style, not sure)and was wondering if they'll work with the msd box.the box says ls1/ls2 style.the only reason i'm using the round coils is my engine didn't come with any and i got a good deal on them.i know the plugs for the coil connectors are the same but are they going to fire or am i going to have to get another set of coils?

You have truck coils or LS2 coils. Both are actually preferred over stock LS1 coils. Truck coils have a heat sink & LS2 do not. As noted, in either case, you are good in regards to the "are they LS1/LS2 style coils" question.

As to the "will the MSD box fire the LS style coil" question...don't know, 'cuz I have no experience w/ it. Although, would think it OK if MSD says LS1/2 coil compatible.
