Default 1948 Chevy PU with 2007 Classic 5.3/4L60E

My 5.3 engine came with electtic fans, I would like to use a mechanical fan but my water pump pulley is not drilled for fan mounting. Can I use a pulley from an engine that was equipped with a mechanical fan? There is no room for a clutch fan so the fan would be engaged all the time. To tight for electric puller fan.

The end of the water pump pulley should be threaded for the fan clutch to screw onto. The pullies dont really come off the water pumps, and even if you did get one off another application like a car, it isnt going to be threaded for a fan like an old small block. They make some pretty thin electric fans these days and I would think if you have room to put a fan directly on the water pump pulley you would probably have room for one of them.
