Default Please help me decide...

Fox Mustang with open track/HPDE intentions on top of DD, s/s, autocross, etc..

Which LS?!?!?! I keep comming back to a LQ4, but I'd like the lighter weight of aluminum...

...Oh wait! My goals are 400-ish RWHP (give or take 25), and it's gonna have a T-56 behind it. I'm not set on carb'd or EFI yet. But I'd like to use as many OEM parts as possible. Any ideas? Iron? Aluminum? Gen III? Gen IV? Better source than my local yard for either engine?

fparts on ebay has an excellent rep for pull out motor-trans combos. They usually have a pretty good selection listed on line, I use them as sort of a blue book of prices for pull out motors.

They only list a fraction of their inventory on ebay so you might try calling them directly.
