the one thing i was wondering was what the intake would look like smoothed out, because honestly the before pic all cleaned up was the first time ive gotten a good angle on those; totally does look like a ramair.

Reminds me a lot of my build!! twin ls1 Ls's !! I love how you incorporated the camaro interior and all the features that were already worked into the camaro harness. Most people just cut that stuff out instead of making it work. Probly a very plug and play type set up. PM me about how you did the DRL's if you dont mind- very interested!

yea, thought about it, then thought "I hate ABS, why would I do that?" and then I didnt. The rear would be easy, the front would be a little tough. I have put in so much time on this car that I am done.....I just want to drive it and enjoy it.

The drl were built into the camaro body control module, I cant remember exactly how I wired everything and such. The haynes manual got me through this build with all the wiring schematics in the book. If you have other questions, feel free to ask, I will do my best to answer! I have a problem forgetting things because things are always so hectic at my shop.
All the props you guy give me makes this build that much more enjoyable!

Sweet thread! I saw that picture in the magazine and tried to find it in the rest of the issue, but nothing. Have you ever been on www.gbodyforum.com ? I think they'd love this car over there.
Oh yeah forgot, ZQ8 wheels rule! I've got them on my Malibu and I'm torn between keeping them or taking them off because I want to do the LS1 brake upgrade but I'm not sure if they'll fit with the wheels.

I want to do th ls1 brakes on the front of the monte but have not researched it yet. I have had these wheels bolted on a fourh gen camaro and they fit, but they are farther away from the inner wheel than they would be on the monte brakes

sorry , just seen your question. I got the lowers and the rear quarter speaker cubbys from www.dixiemontecarlodepot.com
I had to do something to adapt the monsoon radio system to the car. So I wanted speakers in the doors, only complaint I have about them is that they are not deep enough to put a good high quality speaker in. I used the rear speakers from a camaro convertable to fit in my doors. The center speakers are just tweeters, and the rears are 6x9 pioneers. Those door panels were also one of the expensive parts of the build that I would have liked to avoid but it made some things easier for me so i got them.

Love the project, however, the camaro dash takes away the 80s personality of the interior. Maybe thats what you were going for I dunno. I personally like the old Monte dash.

How is the form and fit of the dash from end to end?
As from one photo you posted it doesnt look like it makes it all the way to at least one end.. Maybe I'm not seeing it correctly but from this windshield photo, it looks like it falls short..
Also, were you able to anchor it enough, close to the windshield and otherwise, as to not have a ton of noise from vibration noise or Dash rattle?
Not trying to critique your work just honestly curious on how well you were able to adapt this dash..

I will try to get some recent pictures of the intake for you guys.
The dash looks like it was made for the car except for the pillars, I have not yet fabricated those to fit in the dash. The dash is actually a little to wide in the car. It is the pillar area you are seeing in that picture that needs filled. Yes it is really secure, I had to make brackets and braces to hold the dash in the correct position. There are absolutely zero rattles, you would think your riding in a cadillac! No issues what so ever with the swap.
It does have a handling issue under WOT, is wants to sorta woller back and forth, I would like to cure that before summer but other than that, seems pretty good. I have driven the car quite a bit!
