Ok, is their a differant bracket that I should use, and I prefer to stay on the cheap.

what mounts and oil pan are you using?
I got my ls1 factory brackets and pan in with my 68 GTO gear box.

Hummer pan and some motor mounts from car shop on ebay.

sounds like you are using f-body acc drive. I am doing 2 a body swaps right now... (69 gto/70 elcamino) and both have truck acc drives. You will need a smaller PS pully, but everything else lines up. to run a truc acc drive with an ls1 intake you will need an 08-up truck waterpump and an idler pully relocation that several venders on here sell. I dont know what it takes to make the f body ones fit the a body, but I have heard of it being done.

I got one from a member here - WS6HUMMER. It relocated the alternator to the upper passenger side. It's a well built piece and great for a driver - not chrome or billit. It comes painted rattle can semi-black and coule be re-painted or powder coated if that is what you want. I was really happy with it. I tried to make one, but I really done have the precision machines to get one right...and a squeeky belt sucks - I tweaked mine for months before I gave in and bought one.

In my case just trim the castle nut on the pitman arm and put some washers on the engien mounts to make it a little bit higher the engine.. .
