Default Chevelle Wagon is on the road

The Chevelle wagon is now running and on the road. I still have a few little odds and ends to finish up, but it is pretty complete now.

For those that have not been following the project, the car is a 67 Chevelle wagon with a 08 L76 engine and a paddle-shifted 6L80E trans from a G8. I pulled the AFM hardware and put a LS3 style Livernois Stage 1 cam in the engine and a decent set of springs. The front suspension is all SPC stuff the rear is GM 12 bolt with Currie arms and axles.

The car has been to the Dyno to be tuned and turned in some pretty respectable rear-wheel numbers.

I am planning on making the long haul on the Power Tour this year.

Looks great John. How much did you have to cut up the tunnel for that 6L80E?

A bunch!

Take a look at some of the low numbered chevelle folders and you can get an idea just how much cutting was necessary!

How is the ground clearance with the trans? I did not want to cut the floor braces on my chevelle.

I am also disappointed the g8 gauge cluster is not in the dash. I had hoped you had followed through with your initial plans.
