Im fixing to start this on the car that has been sitting for years in a field. Im going to use a lsx motor more then likely a 6.0 or 5.3 with a head job and a nice cam.

I will have this project in full swing in the next week or two. Im gathering parts for it now.

I just need to know what is needed for the swap and everything else.

If memory serves me right the 64 is still an X-Frame car? If so look for the impala builds on here. On the impala the stock f-body oil pan works, get the side motor plats to use stock mounts and bowtie overdrives makes a bolt in trans crossmember for the 4l60e trans. Use the search engine here and use the sticky's they have an enormous amount of useful information.

I had a 64 Chevelle, not an x-frame car. The trans tunnel will need modification.

Goat SS: How far did you get with this project? I am considering the same with a clean 1964 LeSabre roller for sale in my area. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
