Talking 6.0/4l80e into a 1968 C10

I've been doing research on header and mount combos for my C10 and finally decided to make a purchase. I bought: CPP frame mounts, Hooker 12611hkr swap plates, and Dynatech 70-81 LSX Camaro headers (715-19410).

I must say this combo fits like it was ment to go togeather. I read where other people said the headers hang down too low but they definitly aren't the lowest thing on the truck the A-arms and oil pan are much lower. They're almost even with the trans pan.

I tried the headers with my factory frame mounts and a pair of the swap mounts that share the bottom front hole with the engine mounts. This combo also works, but the engine fits better in the compartment with the other mounts(in my opinion). The Hooker mounts move the engine about an inch and a half back.

The Doug Thorley headers are badass and fit great. I have the 1 5/8" ones on my truck and have 3 sets of the 1 7/8" that need a new home!
