LS1 F body brakes on a Chevelle or other older car?
EDIT: I am only concerned with the rear discs at this point
I know several people have done this but the swap is usually in a build thread without any details.
I know they just bolt up for the most part, but what is involved in adapting the drum brake hard line to the rubber disc lines?
Did you use a new proportioning valve of some sort? My 71 is using a 70 style 3 valve system instead of the combo block from 71+ and I removed the valve that mounted to the front brake line on the master cylinder because it was preventing me from bleeding the brakes and everything seemed to work better without it for some reason.
I had trouble with the system locking the rears at first until I installed the third valve above the rear axle. Seems the car has a lot of travel before brakes really start to work.
