Default What HP are you running with the Corvetter regulator?

Hey guys,

I'm doing a swap into a 66 Nova. The plans are staying with my stock sized LS1 bottom end (relief cut pistons though). 228ish cam from EPS, Stage 2 TEA 243 heads, LS6 intake, 4L60e trans, etc. Running a Bosch 044.

I'm HOPING to use the Vette regulator setup from Wix. What kind of HP are you guys running successfully with this regulator?

Thanks!!

Should work fine. I ran a very similar set up with the Vette Filter for years. Stage 2 heads. TR224 112 cam, LS6 intake etc. Never a blip

I ran 410rwhp through it. A buddy of mine is running 435rwhp. I think the pump is more of a concern.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!!

What size lines did you run? Seeing that the vette reg is 3/8", I was going to use -6AN line as well. I'm wondering if trying to switch to -8AN might not be worth it due to the vette reg as a choke point for line size.

Any thoughts on that?

You will be fine with -6 for your current setup. You dont have to go larger until around +600hp.

As SweetS10 said, the issue might be more about the pump than the regulator.
Under higher horsepower demands, the regulator will be more effective by mounting it closer to the engine.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I know the 044 will be fine for what I need. No doubts there. Looks like my plans will work great.

The Bosch 044 is a monster. I think there was one for sale over at PerformanceTrucks.net
