5.3 swap in a 92 s10
Ok guys Im relatively new here what is gonna be my better bet and somewhat cheaper way of doing a 5.3 in a s-10 without cuttin corners. Im doin the build in tribute and honor of my mom who recently passed in November from her battle with cancer. And carberauted or fuel injection.

Your best bet is find a good S-10 forum...and there are several. An old skool SB swap is pretty easy only requiring headers(IIRC shortys are all that will fit), trans crossmember, radiator, electric fans, motor mounts, firewall clearancing, mini starter.. V8 S-10.org is a great site so I would start there... BTW a 5.3 swap is a little harder with the pcm, harness, etc...

I've already got the ECM or PCM out the same truck i got the motor from and i talked to painless wiring and he gave me the harness number that i would need for the truck to run. As for the starter i just recently put one on the 4.3 that's in the truck and truthfully that starters bigger than the one on the 5.3. But you said V-8s-10.org

I put a 5.3L in my '93 S-10 from the knowledge on this site and that one.
Original setup - truck intake
