Default Opinions on 1 5/8 long tubes on a LS1

Trying to get some parts together for my 79 Mustang swap and have been doing a lot of reading here on all the different header options........

These Jegs 1 5/8 headers are real cheap:

Thinking of grabbing these and swapping to the LS1 flange and calling it a day.

Car wil lbe running a stock 98 LS1 with 4l60E Auto and AJE K w stock control arms.

Thoughts/opinions?

Dynatechs need the tubular control arms and are pretty much out of my budget. kooks are pretty steep as well.

I had a set of BBK's with the LS flanges welded to them. My problem was spark plug boot interference. Not a big deal if you made up a set of wires with 90's on the spark plug end but changing plugs might = pulling the headers out, at least part way.

Ok, That doesn't sound terrible. My other options seem to be spending $500+

Cutting and welding flanges is trivial in the grand scheme of things with this project
