T-56 reverse lock out
Question, the rev. lockout on the left side of trans at the shifter, what exactly is it for? I've seen a plug kit to block it off, is it not used in the conversions? It's going in a '71 chevelle. Also does anyone have the measurements of the S&P modified f-body pan?

It's so you don't shift into reverse when trying to shift into 5th. For me, the shifting, even w/ a Hurst shifter, is sloppy enough that this is a reasonable concern.
You can wire it to any 12v source to "unlock it"... many (I did) do it via the brake light wiring; hit the brakes to shift into reverse.
