LS swap on older Corvette?

I have been thinking about buying an older Corvette(mid 80's to early 90's) and LS swapping it, but not sure if I should swap it or just build the engine that's in it. Opinions, suggestions, or any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

They're called C4 corvettes. Search here and on corvetteforum for dozens that have done or are doing the swap. Opinions on the motor choice would get more feedback over on CF.

C4 swaps are very popular (especially the TPI and Cease Fire Injection). Cars have good suspension design to start with and can be purchased relatively cheap. One of our installers has an 89 that goes in the 11.60s with a relatively stock motor (cam swap only).
