Default Flywheel/flexplate cover with aftermarket pans?

So I was looking at the Mast pan and then it dawned on me that I can't use a factory flywheel cover. Still considering a CTS-V pan as it is cheaper and can use the plastic flywheel covers but concerned about steering linkage clearance.

Is everyone that runs a aftermarket pan making their own cover? Or running without? Not wanting any debris to get near my Spec billet dual disc setup...

I called American Powertrain to see if they make a full plate like Ford's use between block and flywheel but they don't...

I wouldn't worry if I had an auto... Just a little worried since this clutch new is like $1800! I bought it barely used for $550 though.

This is on dads stick car. Unless you are driving down dirt roads I would not worry. It would have to get past the flywheel first and would be very very bad luck if it happened

Ok, good to know. I may end up running a CTS-V pan which I could use the black plastic panels with.

I used the black panels by drilling a few pilot holes in the housing and secured them with #6 sheet metal screws.
