LS mustang H/C/I help!!!!!
hi guys i am new to the site i have been doing lots of research and have some questions of my own and would like your alls opinions. i am puting a LS into my 91 coupe and its gonna have a th350 trans behind it. my question that i have is what is a good solid H/C/I combo thats proven. Its gonna be a carb setup so i am leaning towards the edlebrock vic jr intake and for heads i am looking at the prc stg 2.5 5.3 heads. its gonna b a stock bottom end motor other than rod bolts. what is a good cam you guys recommend for my setup. i am looking at the ms3 but ppl keep telling me go custom, is that really the way to go? please give me your opinion on a h/c/i setup that is a proven street/strip setup. car is gonna be about 80% track use and the other 20% on street.

What are your goals for the car as far as power and/or track times?
I would look at the custom grind cams. I think you will end up with a better setup that way, especially since you are using a carb. I personally went with EPS, but there are a lot of good camshaft companies out there. My experience with EPS has been good.

If you do want some more information on your swap you should do a thread search. Look for a thread entitled "1988 mustang 5.3 th400 swap" The car owner go's by 78supersport. He built a 5.3 with the same cam. His car has ran as quick as 10.005 @134 mph on a 150 shot of spray. He is shifting his stock bottom end at 7800 to 8000 rpm's with stock rod bolts!
